  5. SCOOP: The Massachusetts Democratic Party will vote to cancel its May 30 convention on Saturday due to the coronavirus outbreak. It's agreed Sen. Ed Markey will be considered the winner of the convention & endorsed by the party, according to someone familiar w/ the plans.

    Gov. Baker's daily coronavirus update is at 3:30 p.m. today, after he meets with a COVID-19 Response Command Center Advisory Board. The board first met on March 19, per guv's office, and its membership was announced today.

    On day 14 of state of emergency, Gov. Baker directs state DPH to issue a stay-at-home advisory that will be in effect until Tuesday, April 7. Grocery stores and pharmacies will be considered essential businesses and access to those stores will not be affected.
