What happens if someone pays tax or misreports benefit payments incorrectly, but with integrity and honesty?
In the case of an honest mistake they could write to their MP who I'm sure would gladly assist in helping resolve their case with HMRC/DWP.

Or maybe if their MP held public surgeries, they could come along and talk about it in person?

Whilst an MP I held regular surgeries on a weekly basis - details of how to arrange appointments were clear on both my website and leaflets.
