As someone who was diagnosed with autism as an adult, the real reason for the increase in diagnosis rates is that there have been decades of under diagnosis. We are only just starting to find out what the real numbers are today.

Why dont more people see this? Surely we can all recall classmates who were different or annoying or socially awkward. who seemed smart but did badly at school? Misbehaved for no reason? Not a huge stretch to believe many were on a spectrum but insufficient diagnostic tools.

The simple answer for the lower level of autism in a smaller genetic pool. 380 mil ppl verses 5.6 million. Larger genetic pool more variations and a higher chance for genetic mutations. Who is to say that autism isn't the next evolutionary step trying to jump start our next level
-
That’s backwards. A smaller gene pool increases risk. Just ask generations of European royalty who all suffered from Hemophilia, Porphyria, and had those prominent and sometimes debilitating Hapsburg jaws and noses. A large pool dilutes the mutations that do show up.

There is no reason to jab a baby who is 24 hrs old with all these vaccines. Why not wait a year or two and let their own immune systems develop.
-
Perhaps it’s to help their immune system develop more quickly and reduce the risk of dying before they’re a year or two old from a preventable disease?

Excellent point but science or maths or common sense/decency will never change anti-vaxxers' minds. On another point, I have been rewatching old episodes of Star Trek. You really ripped a lot of uniforms!
