We recommend avoiding general and often dehumanizing “the” labels such as the poor, the mentally ill, the French, the disabled, the college-educated. Instead, use wording such as people with mental illnesses. And use these descriptions only when clearly relevant.

How much physicians who qualify for PSLF earn throughout their lives. Note how low earnings are during the late 20s/early 30s, when they make income-based payments toward PSLF. Loan forgiveness happens after ten years. Then earnings shoot up.

Prosecutors should have the option to seek the death penalty on select cases involving forcible sexual assault of children, but SCOTUS has decided the issue (wrongly, on misinterpretations of the 8th amendment.)
