Some good aspects in the report, but unfortunately leading to a highly misleading headline. The skin protecting the body against radio freqs? It s a little more complex than that. https://journals.aps.org/prl/abstract/10.1103/PhysRevLett.100.128102 …

Without any mention of @IARCWHO or the other groups studying cellphone radiation, this article seems biased.

There is analogous fear and misinformation about low-level ionizing radiation. The "established" authorities (ICRP, EPA, etc) all use the precautionary principle instead of science -- radiation below 100 mSv is harmless. The fear keeps nuclear power from checking global warming.

No science from a science writer. Assuring. NYT has a 5G partnership with Verizon so there's no bias of course. People need to do their own homework, get there head up from their phones, and think critically for once. #sheepgetchronicdisease

Re: roots of 5G fear. Root cause story contains many elements like those that resulted in an elevated world-wide fear of ionizing radiation. Contrary to parenthetical statement in your piece, X-rays do not cause negative health effects until they exceed threshold doses.

One of the major differences in the story line, however, is the background presence of a deep-pocketed funding source with impressive capacity for molding public opinion and a clear financial motive for creating more fear than warranted by facts.

@verizon is installing #5G in my neighborhood. Hundreds of new cell antennas being installed right outside our windows. My family has already been harmed by two antennas outside our home. Other members of my community have had similar experiences. #followhttp://chng.it/RzXZgRpt

ultraviolet behave the same way on skin but instead, it gives cancer, so what it will be for #5G ? no one knows because there's no research at all on those "highter frequencies". #weareguineapigfor5G
