My videos aren’t monetized, yet @TeamYouTube still makes money off of my work. Amazing.
Excuse me, are you against saving Christian marriages? But seriously, I thought the whole point of demonitization was to prevent brands from being associated with possibly controversial/inappropriate content, so it doesn't make any sense on YT's part.
Unless you simply don't monetize them in the first place as opposed to them claiming demonitization and then just taking all of your revenue.
Yea I’ve never monetized any of my videos. So them placing ads on them is ridiculous.
It's THEIR service that you're using to speak your mind. As long as your content doesnt violate their own terms of service (which would make them hypocrites) I dont see a problem with it. Just because you don't want to take the money doesnt mean they shouldnt be able to.
Doesnt mean I'm in favor of them exercising the power to deplatform people they disagree with. One is censorship and the other is a minor 5-second inconvenience to viewers.
*not in favor of them using whatever rights they have on a whim just because they can, but this doesnt hurt or silence anybody, isn't hypocritical or a double standard (because you chose not to take the money despite having the opportunity to), and isnt anti-consumer.
