Are we witnessing the end of the Iowa Caucuses?

Democrats can’t even run a caucus anymore. We’re screwed.

Day 22: Apparently, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. School privatization is a family affair at Casa del Bloomberg.

Day 21: Bloomberg said it would be better to run New York City schools with fewer teachers and by cramming more kids into each classroom.

Very sad epitaph to an otherwise distinguished career.

So you are saying he did it, but it’s not so bad. You leave a sad legacy sir. One that says “I was complicit in destroying democratic norms in America for a corrupt administration-and I knew it was wrong the entire time.” You are a sad shell of who you once were.

Lamar Alexander votes NO but in his statement says it’s clear Trump held up defense money from our ally to sully Biden. And, people should consider that on Election Day??

Lamar Alexander and his Republican colleagues have forever shamed the United States Senate. This is a very dark moment in our history

Just a complete disgrace and an incredibly dark day for American democracy. No one is going to save us from Trump and his corruption and destruction of the rule of law. Not Mueller. Not 51 Republicans. Not John Roberts. We have to save ourselves. We have 10 months. Get to work.

The best way for Battle and Clay to demonstrate they’re not in cahoots with KIPP is to simply step forward and publicly declare, “No new charter schools” in Nashville. Period. But y’all don’t hold your breath waiting on that to happen. That takes courage. And honesty. 3/3

KIPP’s board passed the plan unanimously, with “aye” votes including former House speaker Beth Harrell and Chris Barbic, former superintendent of the failing . Historically, Clay went out of his way to pander to them — and my sources at MNPS tell me nothing has changed. 2/

If anyone questions the plan by interim director Adrienne Battle, “chief of staff” Hank Clay, and KIPP to create a “KIPP Cluster” in Southeast Davidson County, read no farther than this resolution from KIPP Nashville’s December 6 board meeting. 1/

Day 20: The nation’s top right-wing charter zealot takes to the pages of New York tabloid to chide real Democrats for standing up against privatization and to praise fake Democrat Mike Bloomberg for being “poised to double down on charter schools.”

Day 19: Bloomberg and his “chancellor” (a.k.a. school superintendent) conspired with lobbyists and privatizers to charterize NYC schools. The chancellor went on to become a top executive at Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp.

No matter your opinion of , he backs up his statements with data. This information is troubling & calls MNPS leadership into question. Should we leave taxpayers to foot the bill on privately owned schools? That's what's happening as $ is funneled to charter schools.

ADDENDUM: Here’s the enrollment sheet for Battle and Clay’s KIPP high school in Southeast Davidson. Total price tag for the proposed “KIPP Cluster” — $37 million a year, to be paid mostly by local taxpayers (versus the State of TN).

Anyone who cares about public education in Southeast Davidson County should get organized and get ready to stand up against Battle, Clay, and the proposed KIPP Cluster. 9/9
