AFAICT, ConstitutionDAO thing is purely a symbolic exercise. No one gets fractional ownership, it requires a centralized agency to collect the money, high transaction fees ensure only rich can meaningfully contribute, and the insider committee decides what to do with it anyway.
remember in the 90s when you could "name a star" or "buy land in ireland and become a lord"? I feel like ConstitutionDAO sits in this category of "the mechanism isn't real, but its kind of neat, and at the right price i'd buy it for someone"
At what point do futile things like this undermine the real value of the mechanism (assuming there is some)?
Yeah the bull case is obvi the fun stuff like this is how the real stuff is bootstrapped but i am not enjoying the cloak and dagger-y nature of it all
