99% of tech jobs that market themselves as explicitly "ethical" are just expensive, useless, science fair projects. you could take a job at facebook, donate $5k a year, and make more of an impact than slogging five years on a drone that delivers aspirin across the sahara

i know but saharan aspirin drone sounds like so much more fun than optimizing click rates although i think the branch of CS people who want to build real physical things should realize they want to be robotic engineers instead and leave software
