I’m still just not that concerned about massive AUM multistage firms at seed. We’ll continue to compete. I’ll win some, I’ll lose some. When we win, it’s because we present a compelling alternative to being a GP’s 30th seed this year at 0.01% of their capital and attention.

Nobody is talking about handholding or brute forcing rocks into diamonds. There are plenty of breakout founders that carefully pick a firm/partner they like working with. In fact, it’s one of the most common things a second time founder will say they did differently.

That being said, there are plenty of advantages to multi-stage firms (cost of capital sometimes, but not always necessarily one of them) But we see this at every stage. Plenty of founders choose Tiger, because absence is a feature not a bug. And we’ve seen plenty do the opposite.
