the algo is literally wireheading v1 and all its used for is a bunch of "ai" researchers telling you no this is actually all good and a natural human progression resist!

Maybe wireheading turns out to be like nicotine: very strongly stimulating to the “yes, repeat that behavior” part of your brain but not particularly pleasurable.
