walking through a park right now and seeing countless dogs on leashes, completely subjugated to the whims of their owners makes me sick imo owning pets is not very different from slavery and if you take animal rights seriously you should advocate banning pet ownership

As a side note — it’s genuinely frustrating there’s a https://reducing-suffering.org essay on every fucking animal (including bivalve sentience) but there’s not one on pet dogs
