Feels like a wrong take. First, we can’t directly correlate rising obesity with quitting smoking. The rise in childhood obesity alone would negate that causation. Second, the adverse effects of smoking vs obesity have not been studied such that we can claim that either is worse.
I am clearly making a monocausal argument smoking is the only cause, that’s clearly coherent.
