LDL cholesterol is a key cause of cardiovascular disease (and thus mortality in general). It seems there are no downsides to super low LDL (https://www.health.harvard.edu/blog/ldl-cholesterol-how-low-can-you-safely-go-2020012018638 …) which raises the Q... why do we even produce it?

They seem to help with inflammation as well so why not. At this rate we end up with a variant of soylent instead of water.

Might want to consider the risk of myopathy. Estimates are at 1-5% of statin users. That might vary based on health status, but let’s figure that out before we put it in everyone’s water.
