IDK, the "conservative Boston investor" cited made a bet on online ordering two years ahead of the iPhone and currently sits on the board of the $4B public company that resulted from it. Not to mention his investment in an obscure $70B Korean ecommerce upstart ;-)

I think Founder Collective is the best of the best in Boston. I just felt the tweet really showed the attitude here. My take home pay is not the primary reason I do this. It's not *bad* advice to limit VC, but here it's the *only* advice. Sometimes you need a Russ Hanneman.
