Christianity is not about transcendence of the flesh. That’s gnostic heresy. Christianity is about God redeeming his elect people through Christ who is presently alive in the flesh, who will come again, & whose people will be bodily resurrected to live in His everlasting kingdom.

Christianity doesn't embrace moral dualism, in which the body is known to be despised and marginalized, but accepts the ontological dualism, according to which evil and sin are not based on the human body, but human ill will.

The human body is considered the Temple of the Holy Spirit and the building of the soul. The deification of the human face concerns not only the soul, but the whole man as a single psychosomatic whole.
