Why is it that English doesn't pronounce the "p" in Greek words preceding "s" (psychology, pseudonym, etc.)? Greek itself does seem to pronounce it (and all other languages I know/of)
as a rough rule of thumb, English has a hard time with double consonants, Greek has a hard time with double vowels
