the vast vast majority of co’s raising crowdfunded equity are not venture scale. this would be fine, if they weren’t priced like they could generate venture outcomes. Once again, retail investors are getting fleeced with adverse selection.

Yep... The narrative of "crowdfunding is going to replace venture" is silly. It's going to unlock more funding opportunities for non venture backable companies but at the expense of unaccredited investor returns

If that market corrects for price, I could make a strong case for high quality but not venture scale startups being a better investment choice for many retail investors
