One of the strangest things about this year! So much of our memory and emotion anchors to the space around us as well, so it's weird that that space has just been so flat/constant/homogenous while so much has happened
Living at the intersection of literally drowning with (wonderful) work for every waking hour And all of it occurring in my achingly small, interior, home office. So bizarre to live through this much personal history here rather than on planes, in offices, and in coffee shops.

One of my strongest spatial memories is closing our literal first check at cafe reveille in mission bay in the corner table, and returning there often to have other similar turning points And now all of those are happening with me kicking the life out of a radiator

It's easy for a lot of people to forget, especially when you don't struggle...but it is an absolute privilege if you can have work & income in a home office of any size right now. A lot of people hurting. Those traffic lines for food pantries are tragic.
