Because that’s clearly what we’re talking about here. Of course you’re right that if you don’t want to IPO on an accelerated timeline, you don’t need to raise capital, but as soon as you take that first VC investment, that’s the plan of record (unless you’re lying to investors.)
everytime these threads happen there’s always the “not every business needs venture” which is true, but not exactly the dunk one thinks it is when the conversation exclusively surrounds public, venture backed businesses and therefore 6-figure saas outcomes are outside scope
