Will take coyne's side but would want classification of that idea of how *usable* this is for most users. Right now you can thumbs up/thumbs down or "do not show me things like this" on many platforms, so you could argue that is a form of this already.

i think there’s a path forward here where the building blocks rather than the end result is shareable; you only need a few ‘creators’ to give people the various customizations they want

I just think FB has too much incentive to put the things *they* want you to see, even amongst the things that are organic, into your feed to meaningfully give that up.

we’re seeing things built on top of those platforms and using them as the top of the funnel (eg substack) which imo will continue
