Has anyone gotten value from having their VC lawyer at an early-stage board meeting? They do it "for free" & I value their opinion but why do they need to sit through a 3h meeting 4x/yr? I've never found it useful for them to be there, could just ask them q's after the meeting.
1) you should probably shorten your board meetings :) 2) it saves you a _ton_ of money down the line when they already have the context from these meetings, and will often save you a lot of time

how long are yours? I've been in 50+ and nearly every time we'd only blocked off 2 hours, we went over. So now we typically start out with 2.5 but go to 3 as the company matures and we add more ppl to the board.
