SoundCloud also has an /amazing/ back catalog, much better than Spotify for anything reasonably rare. As a result, I’ve gotten very good at downloading all of this and syncing it into Spotify

that’s something that should have been the other way around - spotify should have had the back catalogs since they had the industry deals and soundcloud should have been where hype beasts went to get new shit
