@WillManidis I saw your writeup around interest in Industrial Research Labs from the last century.
What are the groups that approach the spirit of those today? (can be any structure, academic labs, industry labs, startups, etc)
Put another way, who is systematically innovating?
Both @atroyn and @alexeyguzey have thought about this way more than I have.
I think there’s a handful of structural reasons why these groups exist on smaller scales or not at all today. Also a handful of reasons why groups like [x] or calico have had less public impact
