I expect this to be widespread within 2~3, at least if I understand the drops phenomenon, which I might not. Feature or product launch + presaging marketing + some notion of artificial exclusivity (which may not be interpreted as artificial by the user), right?
Already happening with the idea of “launch partners” right? We’re launching x new product with five launch partners who will be branded in the launch alongside of us, logos on website, etc. SAP has done this for two decades

Think it goes deeper. Travis Scott launch embeds within culture and mechanics are more nuanced (and successful) than launch partners or a traditional launch. More simply: Launch partners is more iteration of current launches. Travis style is whole new paradigm.
