      an underappreciated aspect of the advice that, if you can, you should raise from Bay Area/NY venture is that in less dense geographies (Boston, Austen, etc) there are less dense reputation systems which means bottom feeding/predictory investors can persist for much longer.

      There is a really interesting analogy to research about small businesses and wage theft - basically small local businesses are as bad/if not worse offenders
