It's common to decline to invest in a company and going forward be biased by that original decision. Some VCs, as a rule, won't revisit it. But, as a founder I benefited from a "Take 2" from VCs. IMHO that its important to always look at a company w fresh eyes even the 2nd time.

recently was catching up with a GP at a blue chip that was complaining that since the firm passed on [xyz genre defining productivity tool] the partnership has passed on every company in that class to keep consistency. There’s at least four billion+ cos they passed
