does anyone listen to a good audio recording of text while reading it at the same time?

what's retention of content / detail on this compared to regular?
I’ve only done this for non fiction that I wasn’t jazzed about reading, so much higher than the alternative which is not reading it. Presumably lower than normal

Same here, I use it most for text that bores me, if I can have audio plus text it makes the going a lot easier.
