skill in any of these are obviously not uniaxial. It’s just once a large enough skill gap occurs, you no longer can “speak the language” of the game enough to take any meaning from it. The meta is so meaningfully shifted that not a lot translates.
wasn't this the case with OpenAI five also? a bunch of non-obvious meta changes from those matches are now commonly played. The problem is when you get skill gaps that are large enough coevolution is no longer possible.
