Maybe a cold take but the best books aren't written by "elegant" authors. The ones with the most impactful tales are raw and unrefined from the people working at the front lines or on the cutting edge of something new.
I had a wonderful professor that banned the usage of the word “raw” and “unrefined” as they say nothing of meaning, I now understand why

Strongly disagree, I think it's a nicer way of saying a "no bullshit, no time wasted" take. I'm considerably more interested in hearing the direct takeaways of something interesting than embellished fluff that sounds nice
