I am unsure why twitter is reacting if this is a new idea. The stagnationists, and even fucking ross douthat, has been on this case for a long while. pmarca's case is slightly novel, but this isn't stepwise.
and like the accelerationists have been arguing that everything for the last decade is a breaking point. 9/11, 2008, h1n1, etc.
