What's an example from the last ~7 years of a social product that captured heavy VC/techy zeitgeist first and then became a mainstream success? I'm aware the techy take is "all of them, idiot, we build these things" but interested in litigating that.

Yeah the fair push is social breakouts don't really happen, but honestly I'd even consider something like Cameo as a success (not *really* social). Nextdoor, Groupme also (older). Foursquare (was techy centric at first). Discord. prob many others tbh.
