That’s why I think the future is flexiwork, not total WFH. There are advantages to being in an office. There are also advantages to being able to have things be more flexible, for example around traffic or a kid’s sick day.

Agree. One lasting behavioral effect will be that everyone will become more comfortable with video calls bc everyone has been forced to overcome any reluctance or laziness in adopting this tech. But WFH is stylistic as much as utilitarian. You can't make people like it.

Exactly. There will definitely be a short term get me out of the F-ing house effect. Not to mention how many people are unproductive at home (it's an individual thing and people had already self-selected. I think even the 'emails can replace all meetings' jokes will age poorly.

Apparently, I'm in the minority. But I am extremely confident that post-COVID will look almost exactly like pre-COVID. The trends that stick (e.g. fluid WFH situations) were already trending.
