As a fmr uni Latin student, Cartamen Latin quizbowl champ, & NLP eng I *personally* share these views — but yours/mine are not the reasons Latin was pushed on stus in 1905; nor do all (most?) Latin stus realize these benefits; nor does this anecdata describe the fitness curve.
