the odds of a single twenty y/o founder building a billion dollar company is shockingly high (non-zero) the odds of three twenty y/o's that met in college, founding a billion dollar company is zero. the ability to attract radically different talent is a great leading indicator
also like pointing to generational outcomes (50b+) isn't super useful in developing theories of normal outliers, rather than extreme outliers. Yes, companies broke this rule-- but most bread and butter bil+ never did
