My Xmas present for the last 7 years has been 10-12 books of my choosing//an entire day at the bookstore. So thankful for parents who let me read anything, whenever, wherever when I was little.

100% agree. My parents were very reluctant to buy us a lot, but they always bought me two books at the book fair. It was one of my favorite days. Whether intended or not, it made me think of getting books and reading as a special treat.

Agreed. My parents were pretty rigidon what they'd let me buy, but had policy that I could buy unlimited books. I thought i was beating the system haha
