Can’t really blame them for being driven by making money. Sure, if they had raised capital, they could have built a better product and put it in more people’s hands, but would DHH have fifteen sports cars if he didn’t have a four line cap table? Respect the hustle.
worthwhile pointing out that Notion is truly the other extreme-- huge paper value, seemingly little of it converted to actually cash to date.
