I just discovered that Postgres has built in full text search. The bad news is that indexing 178M papers is taking over a day on my tiny database instance.

That's the tiny brain version and what normal people would do in my situation, but I'm curious to see how good and how quick this is. Probably I'll have to concede defeat and get ES
