Ditto. This chart is potentially misleading. Our company (Vetpronto - W15) is listed as an ‘exit’. While we did technically sell the company, it was an asset sale and the company was very distressed at the time. Definitely not a happy ending for investors or founders.
assuming there is a significant chunk of the 'exits' category that is aquihires/asset-sales/etc. venture scale exits continue to be rare, and YC is good at not letting things go to true zero

For sure.....and I totally agree that YC significantly increases chance of success for any entrepreneur/start-up.

not completely convinced the success rate is higher, just that the rate of true zero failure (no acquihire, or asset sale) is dramatically lower
