crazy but super high-signal idea: "reject" every candidate (very graciously, of course) and see how they react before giving them an offer it's amazing how quickly people will reveal their true selves when they think they never have to interact with you again!

I think I would be comfortable uniformly discriminating against anyone who turns vitriolic after being rejected. Not that I would _actually_ do it, but I don't think it has any correlation with selecting for/against candidates of a certain demographic.

What candidate in their right mind would accept a job offer from a company that rejects you and then says, “psych, we were fucking with you, you got the job.” What does that say about culture + management?
