was just discussing this with @hmemon99-- seems like you can also fix this with hyper-specialized funds with ex-operator GPs, but doubtful you will still capture any meaningful part of the dealflow you miss outside of your domain

but if you're starting a hyper specialized fund, you're also not *trying* to capture any deal flow outside your domain, you're trying to get ALL the heavy hitters in your domain instead of hoping you'll hit 1 in that domain, and 1 in another, etc.
thankful for your ability to always point out the relatively obvious thing I’m missing
