also most of these are working on problems that biopharma doesn’t even face (lead gen, canidate selection, etc.) or won’t trust to blackboard models. These just happen to be the ones that commodity ML is best at.
super skeptical to see if any of this will have a material impact on discovery programs-- most in industry (even those working directly with the tech) are seeing little change on the ground so far.

+1 for Will's point. I also hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong here, but I don't think that a single drug that is a result of AI/ML driven drug discovery has made it into the clinic as of yet. I hope that changes in the future, but I'm not a believer yet.
