      Care to clarify? Do you think the government should be pricing private-sector drugs? Let’s push it to healthcare as a whole. If a surgeon provides a life-saving service, should the government and patient say “hey we don’t want to pay you $200,000 for this brain surgery?”

      without going deep into drug pricing: the argument form of Imagine x is Y. You couldn’t imagine this happening to Y. Therefore it also isn’t true about X. Wouldn’t pass muster in a high school philosophy class— let alone as policy.

      So you’re saying it’s a logical fallacy? False Equivalence? That’s fine. But you can’t say something is the worst drug take of the decade without being willing to “go deep into drug pricing”. The surgery analogy works fine. Should we pay surgeons “whatever we think is fair?”

      lets go mildy deep into drug pricing then: 1. you don't chose to buy them, nor have pricing transparency. There are no markets. 2. They are monopolies by design 3. surrogates make purchasing decisions, its entirely abstracted 4. pbms lead to mark up look i love free markets...

          Mate I doubt you’ve read those books. Drug pricing is a minuscule piece of the puzzle that is often driven up by “intermediaries” called PBMs. Aka, insurance is the problem. Did you even bother to skim through the first few chapters? Haha
