We could try having the Federal government run huge deficits to pay out entitlements until the economy collapses so that rich people lose a large chunk of their wealth then reform the entire system under a New US Dollar, tax scheme, etc.
A 3% wealth tax would be debilitating to American entrepreneurship-- for any successful founder their wealth is entirely in their company. Do you really want founders selling attempting to sell 3% of their company every year to make the cut. Is this really what you want?
