In an effort to raise the minimum version required to build the kernel to 4.8 (7 years old) I've fallen down a rabbit hole and ended up having to hack the page table code for (68040 released 30 years ago). I wonder who runs this stuff?

I'm really quite pleased with this Nelson Brut IPA; soft and floral yet biscuity and warming. Garlic and eggs for scale.

First attempt at a Belgian Dubbel today, but already slightly overshot the first step in the mash. Hopefully it won't matter too much.

I ended up splitting the batch, with 5L getting a small lactose addition in the keg. The extra sweetness really works with the dry, charcoal finish but leaves it a bit too drinkable for the strength!

Crikey! The XXXK Mild from and is a bit good, isn't it? Might finally be time for me to try making my own invert sugar.

"100 Classic Pubs in the Heart of England". CAMRA publication from around 1982 bemoaning, amongst other things, 11pm closing times, electronic games machines and the lack of availability of stout and porter (the latter apparently a cross between best bitter and stout).

Down with the pre- lurgy, but had to either brew today or chuck the Vermont ale starter I'd got going. A rather large dose of in a dark mild. Smells like... coconut!

Since some people asked, we also now have openings in Mountain View and San Diego. Especially interested in filesystem/block hackers!

Experimental brew today: adding sloes to a sweet stout. May be a disaster, but interested to see if they're good for more than just gin.

There's clearly great affection for Greene King XX Mild, which appears to be in danger of becoming rarer than "Hen's Tooth". The brewery may be open to a clamour for its retention if you RT
