For the last 5 years we have been studying sloth bear denning in southern India, and while doing that we have often come across other species as well! Leopards overlap with sloth bears in our study areas and also make use of the rocky caves.

Usually the two ignore each other and keep a healthy distance, but mother sloth bears are on high alert when a leopard is in the area!
As we count the days to #EarthDay
, we will be sharing more such footage in an effort to throw light on the rich fauna inhabiting our forests.
