I hate to break this to you, but every game sacrifices some degree of realism for fun. Respawns, maps that aren't 90% empty space, guns that don't jam, ammo counters, etc. are all unauthentic Also the prosthetic was literally one they had back thenhttps://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/8lyp8s/the_prosthetic_arm_from_the_battlefield_v_trailer/ …

And Battlefield V was never marketed as an authentic WW2 experience. The trailer was meant to be fun and jokey and tongue-in-cheek for that reason It's an FPS. You play it to shoot some other players, rank up, and have fun, not ponder the horrors of the Battle of the Bugle

They need to fire either marketing or project management then, because either they failed to manage expectations properly or they failed to make a game the market wanted. Either way, it's entirely DICE's fault, and blaming gamers for it is revisionist af.

Can you explain any major gameplay difference between Battlefield V and previous Battlefield games that would lead it to be rejected by gamers? Or is it solely because they were mad at an ad?

Never played it, I'm boycotting EA in general over being a horrible company. So, I don't know if there was a gameplay failure or a marketing failure. Either way, it's DICE/EA's fault that it wasn't well received, not the consumer's fault for not receiving it well. That'd be silly

Yes, because as we all know consumers are 100% rational, discussions and impressions on the internet are 100% rational, and there's never outrage campaigns over dumb shit

Really am waiting for an example of feminists getting really upset that a character was too sexy

Nah, there was a pretty big discussion that split them down the middle as to whether she was sex positive or a harmful representation of women. Was pretty funny back then
