    The Year 5 children had a fantastic morning at with Crucial Crew! They learnt all about: the recovery position, recycling, road safety, pollution and keeping safe on the internet! We certainly learnt lots of life skills!

    Our Reablement service, which helps people return to independence at home after a hospital admission or following illness, has been rated outstanding by the CQC 🌟 In 2016 the service was the first in the country to get this rating 🙌 Full story:

    So proud of today’s landmark report about the Wigan Deal by I hope our story inspires others to overcome fatalism in public services & build services around people’s strengths. I will be talking more on our journey at later!

    If more councils were like Wigan, some of our social challenges would be reduced

    Great report out today from exploring Wigan’s transformation work - putting faith in staff and community to innovate. Strong leadership lessons too - the resilience to stick with it.
