Think BEFORE a you speak it would alleviate you from having to apologize for hurting those who have been through enough without naive comments and take the survivor up on her olive branch to inform you - you could learn something.

Love the number of non-Jews and non-Roma people accepting this apology on behalf of us. If you're not a member of the groups whose pain she diminished and waved away, you don't get to accept her apology. She needs to do better.

It’s the fact that you said it in the first place, that you denied that Nazi Germany’s attempt to eliminate the Jewish people wasn’t racially based. How? How did you remotely feel that to be appropriate or indeed true? It was ignorance of the highest order.
