Boy do I have a funny story
And lol something something something. Let's just be friends. Something something. Which is fine. I get it. I wasn't angry. I was just super miserable for like a week cuz I thought there was something wrong with me, which is a horrible thing to think

I think I spent an entire week without leaving my apartment or my neighborhood. My best friend here invited me out for dinner and that really helped me out

A couple months ago, I got a notification on LINE that she had written on her timeline in the first time in forever. I'm like, I thought she unfriended me (is there a way to tell if someone unfriends you on there? I still don't know)

She wrote something like "aw. My time in Tokyo is over. Something something." I'm like "maybe going back to Australia?"

Today, I went to this live painting thing in Yokohama that featured a performance by my favorite Japanese musician, Uyama Hiroto.pic.twitter.com/ziCR2HGbmN

So I'm sitting at this bar for like 4 hours. I look to the table at my left and I'm like...nah.

Is that? Nah, no way out of every izakaya in this fucking country on this night.

That can't be her. She's really pretty and the woman I went on those dates is legit the prettiest woman I've ever went out with, but is THAT her. (it's hard to explain the setup of this place)

There are two tables in the middle. Two booths along the walls. I'm sitting at the tables in the middle. She's sitting at the booth to the left that is facing away that screen. So basically at me during these four hours lol

And I'm like. Wow, I already get anxiety when going to anything alone here. Especially bars cuz you either need the drunk Japanese person to break the ice because most of em are shy (generalizing) or you need to do it yourself or no one will talk to you. I'm an introvert so no

I went there to listen to some of my favorite music loud on a nice system since I can't do that in my apartment now

So like this whole time. I can't really tell if it's her or not because if I look in that direction she may look at me or her date (I'm assuming it is) will. So I'm like "well, I guess I'll just sit here trying to enjoy this in this hilarious situation."

So like it was a long thing. I got there at 6, I left around 10:30? Everyone starts paying for the cover charge and food. I get in line. She's like two people in front. Pays. Turns around. I'm like "oh no. Dont look up." BOOM. Eye contact followed by awkward pause.

This might not even be funny. It's funny to me because I rarely do anything entertaining on the weekends. Especially go to bars. The one time I do I have this happen

And if you could just be in my head for a minute, you'd understand why sometimes I hate existing

Anyways, I saw Uyama Hiroto last year and I was too nervous to tell him that he's actually a huge reason I even moved to Japan. I always regretted not telling him and I know he speaks English so there wasn't a language barrier

The ending to this story is that I got both of his recent albums signed by him as well as the cover artists for each album. I winpic.twitter.com/eHllWvVzkh
